Wild Card

I was afraid I will be writing this again
And now I am.

It's the same old story, the same old game,
We're the same old people, but things will never be the same.
Now I'm finally tired of this game.
Coz everytime you won for the past 2 years, I lost.

Everyday, I come home with my heart a little more cracked than before,
Hoping that I would win the next time round.
And yesterday, when you told me you love her,
It finally broke apart.

So I sit here in my room, crying my heart out,
Replaying all that has happened for the part 2 years.
Every tear is another painful reminder,
That you'll never feel the same way about me,

And it's gonna hurt like hell, I know.
Not because i'm jealous (although I am),
It's because despite all my rules,
I made the biggest mistake of falling for a friend.

I'm not expecting you to love me back.
I just wanna even out our scores.
We've already gone this far,
And losing this game is losing me.

Loving you is worth putting my heart on the line.
I gave my whole heart out just to write this,
And I'm willing to risk everything we have,
So we can have everything else.

So if we remain friends and nothing more,
It won’t be because I don’t love you,
Coz I do.
I just hope I don't have to write this one more time.
